Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN)

The purpose of SPIN is to provide a vehicle for facilitating communication between residents and the City staff.  The City Council appoints representatives from 11 geographic areas within the City of Southlake.  These representatives make up the SPIN Standing Committee and work as a nonpartisan, volunteer organization to improve citizen particpation in and awarness of the City's activities.   Read below and use the FAQs at right to learn more about this important citizen communication tool.

What's SPIN-ing?
  • Upcoming Meetings - One of SPIN's responsibilities is to host forums to present information and receive citizen feedback on various projects throughout the City.  The calendar (at right) will provide you with the date, time and descriptions for upcoming SPIN meetings. 
  • Get involved with SPIN - Applications are now being accepted for the Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) for the City of Southlake.  There are three Representative positions (SPINs 1, 5 and 10) and nine Alternate positions (SPINs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, Senior and Youth) available with each serving a two-year term.

    There are some stipulations with these positions:
    • All positions: Applicant must reside in the City of Southlake
    • Neighborhood positions: Applicant must reside in the neighborhood he/she represents. Click here to find your SPIN.
